Up one levelThe Quality in Family Practice Assessment Tool for Family Practices & Assessors is the Overview Tool enhanced to assist the practices and assessors in continuous quality improvement. Each indicator and associated criteria have been linked with helpful web-based tools (mostly Canadian, but some international resources as well) which when followed, explain how to achieve best practice in each area. This is a user friendly electronic resource to assist the practices and assessors.

- Generally, family practitioners, primary health care professionals and other family practice staff strive to deliver quality care to their patients. However, there is currently no yardstick for a practice to measure how effectively they are performing this task. As the health care system increases in complexity, and the health care needs of patients also becomes more complex, a quality framework that supports this challenging environment is vital.
